In one paragraph.

The Sexual Violence Prevention Workshop (SVPW®) is a 2-hour collaborative, card-based workshop designed to give adults — in workplaces, schools, communities, and healthcare settings — a shared cognitive frame for thinking about sexual violence and its prevention. Created by Sébastien Brochot, a specialist in violence prevention strategy, and published by Association Une Vie (a French non-profit founded over ten years ago), the workshop is available in 15 languages and is run worldwide by an open network of trained facilitators. The card materials are free to download; the full method is documented in the book.

Key facts.

The original French version of the workshop, La Fresque des Violences Sexistes et Sexuelles®, was created in 2023.

Ready-to-use quotes.

If you need a quote for an article without time for a full interview, you may use the following, attributed to Sébastien Brochot, founder of the SVPW:

“Awareness campaigns inform people. They rarely change behaviour. What changes behaviour is understanding — and understanding requires a frame that adults can walk through together. The SVPW was designed to provide that frame, in two hours, in any language, anywhere in the world.”

“We don’t believe any workshop will end sexual violence. We believe the gap between awareness and understanding is a leverage point — one that, when filled, makes every other prevention effort more effective.”

“The strength of the project is that it can be carried by anyone. You don’t need to be a clinician, a psychologist, or a campaigner. You need the book, a small group of adults, and two hours.”
