These Terms of Sale govern all sales made through the online shop of https://sexual-violence.info/.

1. Sellers

Products sold through this website are sold by one of two entities, depending on the product. Each product page clearly indicates the seller.

a) Sébastien Brochot — primary seller

The paper edition of the book is also distributed by Sébastien Brochot but sold through Amazon, under Amazon’s own Terms of Sale.

2. Products

Each product is described on its dedicated page, with the seller clearly identified. We strive for accuracy, but minor variations (color, finish) may occur.

The free card deck PDFs are not subject to these Terms of Sale; they are governed by the Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use, and released under Creative Commons BY-NC-SA 4.0.

3. Prices

Prices are displayed in euros (EUR), inclusive of all applicable taxes. Sales by Sébastien Brochot are not subject to VAT (mention required by Article 293 B of the French General Tax Code: “TVA non applicable, art. 293 B du CGI”). Shipping fees are added at checkout based on the destination.

We may change prices at any time. The price applied is the one displayed when you place your order.

4. Order process

To place an order:

  1. Select your products and add them to the cart
  2. Review your cart and proceed to checkout
  3. Provide your billing and shipping information
  4. Choose a payment method
  5. Read and accept these Terms of Sale (mandatory)
  6. Confirm your order

You will receive an order confirmation email. The contract is formed upon receipt of payment.

5. Payment

Accepted payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and other major cards. Payment is processed by Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment provider, whose security policies apply.

We never store your full card details.

6. Delivery and access

Physical products (worldwide shipping)

  • Delivery zones: worldwide
  • Preparation time: typically 3 to 15 business days from order. If the item is out of stock and needs to be reproduced, preparation may take up to 2 months — we will inform you by email shortly after your order.
  • Transit time after shipping: approximately 3–5 business days in metropolitan France, 5–10 business days in the European Union, 10–21 business days outside the European Union.
  • Delivery fees: calculated at checkout
  • Risk of loss: transfers to you upon delivery

Digital products (PDF, ePub)

  • Available for download immediately after payment confirmation
  • Download link sent by email
  • Available for unlimited downloads, lifetime, from your account on the Site

7. Right of withdrawal

Physical products

You have 14 calendar days from receipt to withdraw, without justification. To exercise this right, contact us at contact@sexual-violence.info or use the withdrawal form available on the Site.

The product must be returned in its original condition, complete and unused. Return shipping is at your expense. We will reimburse the price of the product, excluding return shipping, within 14 days of receiving the returned product or proof of shipment.

Digital products (PDF, ePub)

By proceeding with the download, you expressly acknowledge that you waive your right of withdrawal once the download has begun (Article L221-28-13 of the French Consumer Code). A checkbox at checkout confirms this waiver.

Online training

Withdrawal is possible within 14 days of purchase, provided that you have not started the training. Once you have accessed the first module, the right of withdrawal is waived.

In-person training

Withdrawal is possible within 14 days of purchase, provided the session has not started. If the session is scheduled within those 14 days and you wish to attend, you may waive your right of withdrawal at checkout. Specific cancellation terms (notice periods, partial refunds) are detailed on the training page.

8. Legal warranties

Products are covered by:

  • The legal warranty of conformity (2 years from delivery, French Consumer Code articles L217-3 et seq.)
  • The warranty against hidden defects (Civil Code articles 1641 et seq.)

9. Intellectual property

All purchased products remain protected by copyright. Purchase grants you a personal, non-transferable license to use the product for non-commercial personal or educational purposes only.

You may not reproduce, distribute, resell, or modify the products without prior written authorization.

11. Dispute resolution

In case of dispute, please contact us first at contact@sexual-violence.info. We commit to seeking an amicable solution.

For cross-border disputes, you may also use the European Online Dispute Resolution platform: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/

If no amicable resolution is found, the competent French courts have jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence.
