About the workshop
Who is the workshop for?
The Sexual Violence Prevention Workshop is designed for adults, ideally in groups of fewer than 15 people. It works for the general public, workplaces, schools and universities, healthcare and social work professionals, and volunteer or institutional networks. It is not designed for minors — children and adolescents need formats adapted to their age.
How long does the workshop last?
Two hours, with seven structured phases. We do not run shorter versions.
Is it suitable if I’m not personally affected by the topic?
Yes. The workshop is not therapy and does not require any personal disclosure. You can come simply because you want to understand. Most participants are not directly concerned — that’s the point.
What if I’ve been personally affected?
You’re welcome. The workshop is not a therapeutic space, but it is designed to be safe: facilitators ensure the conversation stays respectful, you’re never required to share anything personal, and the vocabulary is carefully calibrated. Will I have to share personal stories?
No. Participation does not require any personal disclosure. You speak only about ideas, scenarios, and the cards.
What if the workshop becomes too difficult emotionally?
You can leave at any time, without explanation. If needed, facilitators can provide information about relevant support services and resources available to participants.

Is the workshop available in my language?
The workshop materials are currently translated into 15 languages: Arabic, Chinese, Dutch, English, French, German, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and Turkish. Whether a live workshop exists in your language depends on facilitator availability in your area.
Is there a fee?
The card materials are free to download. The book is sold to support the project. Live workshops have a fee that depends on the facilitator and the country.

Facilitating and getting involved
Do I need a diploma to facilitate?
No. The workshop is designed to be facilitated by adults willing to follow the method, listen carefully, and stay neutral. The book contains the complete method. Training is available for those who wish to become Certified Facilitators.

Are the cards really free?
Yes. The full card deck is downloadable in all 15 languages under a Creative Commons BY-NC-SA license. The book contains the complete facilitation method.
Can I translate the materials into another language?
Possibly. We currently maintain 15 languages and are open to expanding when a serious team commits to maintaining a new one over time.

Can I use the cards in another setting (school class, training, etc.)?
No. The cards are designed for the 2-hour workshop format specifically. They can be used as references elsewhere, but the full pedagogical effect depends on the structured method documented in the book.
